NQ School
School management platform

Every part of your school, running on one platform.

Admissions, attendance, exams, fees, accounting, HR and parent communication — built on permission-based access, so every person sees exactly their part of the school and nothing more.

₹250 per student, per year Every module included Works with your existing devices
Roles you define

Build “Exam Coordinator” or “Transport In-charge” with exactly the access that job needs.

Bookkeeping-grade accounts

A double-entry ledger that is append-only at the database. Corrections are reversals, never edits.

Your existing hardware

Gate and biometric punches are ingested from the devices the school already owns.

Isolated per school

Multi-tenant by design, so a trust runs every branch without data crossing over.

Access control

Most school software ships three roles. Yours writes its own.

Admin, teacher, student — hard-coded and impossible to bend. NQ School works the other way round: every screen and every action is a named permission, and a role is simply a set of them. One person can hold more than one role when the school actually works that way.

Principal

Full authority inside this school, with no reach into any other school on the platform.

    Cannot do
      What it runs

Grouped the way a principal thinks, not the way software is built.

Eight modules, all included in the price. Your platform operator switches on the ones your school asked for.

      Admissions

      • Enquiry to enrolment as one nine-step wizard, fillable in any order
      • Fees are computed, then confirmed by a person — nothing bills itself
      • RTE seats handled as a fee exclusion, not a blanket waiver
      • Public enquiry form for your own website, rate-limited and spam-screened

      Academics

      • Classes, sections and subjects on an enforced class ladder
      • Timetable builder, period templates and teacher substitutions
      • Syllabus planner at class level, coverage tracked per section
      • Teacher’s Diary, assignments, notes and study material

      Exams & results

      • Exam categories, room mapping, seat allocation and admit cards
      • Whole-exam marks grid for admins; teachers see only their own papers
      • Publish and freeze — results lock on publish, admins keep an override
      • Class-wise report cards, toppers and cumulative progress reports

      Attendance

      • Daily registers with a configurable editing window for teachers
      • Gate and biometric devices ingested through a local bridge
      • Auto-attendance opt-in per child, so partial rollouts work
      • Staff attendance, leave and shift patterns in the same view

      Fees & accounting

      • Fee structures, sibling discounts and student category rules
      • Online collection through a payment gateway, receipts issued automatically
      • Double-entry ledger with database-level immutability
      • Payments and payroll are voided, never deleted — the history stands

      HR & payroll

      • One employee record for teaching and non-teaching staff
      • Departments, designations, leave types and approval chains
      • Payroll runs with payslips delivered to each employee
      • Penalties, substitutions and per-employee working shifts

      Communication

      • One dispatch layer behind email, SMS, WhatsApp, push and in-app
      • A channel matrix per event, so the school decides what goes where
      • Inbox with folders and split unread counts; alerts expire on their own
      • Bulk credential issuance — a thousand parent logins in one pass

      Documents & data

      • ID cards, certificates and admission letters on your letterhead
      • Printed straight from the browser — no plugin, no PDF pipeline
      • CSV import and export, all-or-nothing with a dry run first
      • Full data and media export on request — you keep your own copy
      Student Intelligence

It tells you which child needs attention this week — and shows its working.

Every night the engine recomputes nine scores for every student from their exam series, attendance record and assignment submissions, then sorts them into categories a teacher can act on. Each score keeps the raw numbers behind it, so “why is this student flagged?” always has an answer on screen.

      Statistics, not a black box.

Weighted averages, least-squares slope and standard deviation — formulas a head of department can check. Nothing is trained on other schools’ children, and no student’s data leaves your school.

Multiple indicators are down at once, led by attendance. Contact the guardians immediately to establish why the student is missing school — attendance is the first thing to restore before academic support can work.

No data is not bad data

A metric without enough history returns nothing at all — never zero. A student who has not sat an exam yet is never classified as failing.

      Your thresholds

Every cut-off is a setting on your school. A board-track Class 10 and a Class 3 need not be judged on the same line.

      Who sees it

Gated by permission like everything else: a counsellor can hold the whole school, a class teacher only their own section.

      • Immediate interventionSeveral indicators down at once, on at least two independent signals. The loudest alarm in the system, and deliberately hard to trip.
      • Attendance riskReliability has fallen below your line, with consecutive-absence streaks weighted heavier than scattered days.
      • Academic riskExam performance is low and the overall risk score agrees. Both must hold, so one bad paper is not a verdict.
      • Recovery candidateStill behind, but the recent trend is clearly upward. Worth the encouragement now, not at the term review.
      • Board exam focusA board-track student not yet safely in the top band, surfaced early enough for the preparation to matter.
      • Underperforming high potentialCapable on every leading indicator, yet the marks do not show it. The children who quietly get missed.
      • Future topperHigh marks, a rising trend and low variance together. Recognition earned by the record, not by reputation.
      Security & trust

The questions your trustees will ask.

A school hands this system its children’s records and its bank reconciliation. These are the answers, written down before you have to ask for them.

      • Data isolation

Every school’s data is separated at the database level. One branch cannot read another’s.

      • Session handling

Short-lived access tokens inside a 90-day session, with rotation and reuse detection — a stolen token kills the family it came from.

      • Biometric unlock

WebAuthn step-up on the device, used to re-open a live session rather than replace the password. Phishing-resistant by construction.

      • Financial record

The ledger is append-only, enforced by database triggers. Reversals are admin-only and leave both entries visible.

      • Audit trail

Administrative and financial actions are logged with the request context that produced them.

      • Hosting & backups

Run on AWS with a dedicated backup and disaster-recovery stack, plus full data export on demand.

Modules are switched on per school rather than sold as line items, so there is no add-on list to negotiate and no feature you lose by choosing the smaller plan. First-year introductory rates are available for schools moving off an existing system.

      Book a demo

See it with your own school in mind.

A demo runs about forty minutes. Tell us roughly how many students you have and what you are running today, and we will build the walkthrough around that instead of a generic tour.

We use this only to arrange your demo. No mailing list.
